Collectshare Terms of Service

Effective date: October 27, 2026

1. Acceptance

By using Collectshare you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Collectshare is a platform where people log firsthand experience with products, apps, places and services. It is operated by Kingsley ("Operator"). You can create an account, post entries and read entries from others.

3. Eligibility

The Service is offered to users in the United States and is not directed at the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom.

You must be at least 18 years old.
You are responsible for following the laws that apply to you.
You are responsible for keeping your account and password secure.

4. Accounts

4.1 Registration

You must give a valid email address, choose a unique handle, set a password of at least 10 characters, and confirm your email through the link we send.

4.2 Responsibility

You are responsible for activity on your account. If you suspect someone else has used it, email support@collectshare.com.

4.3 Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end your account if you break these Terms, harass others, spam, or break the law. You can delete your account at any time in account settings. When you do, your account data is deleted right away. Your public entries are anonymized, and entries that were never public or only held media are deleted.

5. Your content

5.1 Ownership

You own what you post ("Your Content"). You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store and display it on Collectshare.

5.2 What we may do with it

We may display your entries on the platform and in search, create aggregated and anonymized reports, and archive entries as part of the public record.

5.3 Removal

You can delete your entries at any time. Deleted entries leave the public log and may remain in backups for up to 30 days. We may remove entries that break these Terms.

5.4 Our property

Collectshare's design, logo, copy and software belong to the Operator. Do not copy or reuse them without permission.

6. Prohibited content and conduct

Do not post or do any of the following:

Content that is illegal, including threats and hate speech.
Harassment or abuse of other people.
Spam or repetitive commercial messages.
Claims you know are false, presented as fact.
Content you do not have the right to post.
Malicious code or attempts to break the Service.
Impersonation of another person.

Breaking these rules can lead to removal of an entry, suspension, a permanent ban, and a report to the authorities where the law requires or allows it.

7. Reporting and moderation

7.1 Flagging

You can flag any entry you believe breaks these Terms. The Operator reviews flags. We aim to respond within 24 hours.

7.2 Appeals

If we remove your entry or suspend your account, you can appeal by emailing moderation@collectshare.com with your handle, the entry if there is one, and why you think we got it wrong. We aim to respond within 5 business days.

7.3 Approach

Entries are not reviewed before they are posted. They are reviewed when flagged or reported.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, we provide the Service as is. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including lost data, revenue or profits. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service, if anything. We are not responsible for third-party content, links or services.

9. No warranty

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE OR SECURE.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold harmless the Operator from claims, damages and costs, including legal fees, that arise from your breach of these Terms, your use of the Service, or Your Content.

11. Termination

Either of us may end these Terms at any time. If they end, your access is revoked and your entries stay on the platform unless you delete them. If you delete your account, your account data is deleted right away, your public entries are anonymized, and entries that were never public or only held media are deleted.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of California, without regard to conflict of law rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in California. If you are in the EU, you keep the right to bring claims in the courts of your own country, and your GDPR rights apply over anything here that conflicts with them.
